AMSTERDAM – December 14, 2023 – TrueKinetix, an indoor cycling technology company, today announced plans to debut two of the company’s award-winning indoor cycling technology products at CES 2023: the world’s first robotic indoor smart bike, TrueBike, and smart trainer, TrueTrainer. TrueTrainer is a 2023 CES Innovation Award honoree, and TrueBike has been honored with the Sports Innovation Award and the prestigious Bike Motion Innovation Award. Every year cyclists spend 2.3 billion hours on indoor exercise bikes trying to replicate their outdoor experience. The average duration of a workout indoors, however, is only 30% of the outdoor equivalent at only 80% of a cyclist’s normal power. The traditional flywheel of indoor bikes cannot replicate the resistance and true feel of outdoor cycling, which is why TrueKinetix created TrueForce technology, which powers both TrueBike and TrueTrainer.  Using robotics and AI, indoor cycling can now have four times better accuracy and 20 times better responsiveness than traditional equipment with a flywheel, enabling users to have long comfortable training sessions while working out precisely the right muscles.

One of the most impressive features of TrueBike and TrueTrainer are the patented virtual gears that make riding any gear-set possible, with 400 pre-set options. The technology uses mechanical models and advanced measurement techniques to accurately simulate the gearing of the bike and immediately provides the correct resistance to make indoor cycling feel more real than ever. Both products also have a slight rocking motion to enhance the feeling of riding outside. The TrueBike can switch positions in seconds, making it perfect to share with multiple people, whereas the TrueTrainer is one of the lightest on the market at only 33 pounds.

Embedded WiFi transfers all of the cyclist’s data to the cloud and depending on the model the cyclist’s live training data (up to 30+ metrics including power, cadence, heart rate, distance, time, elevation and velocity) is available to view on an included display, a TV or a monitor — all without the need for an app or extra software. Additionally, TrueBike and True Trainer’s energy recovery system utilizes the cyclist’s motion to power the self-charging battery, with no need for electricity, and a USB port even allows the cyclist to charge their phone or tablet with their own cycling.
