Ashes of Creation Shoots for the Stars as Alpha One Begins

In some of the biggest news to hit the MMORPG world in years, Intrepid Studios has announced the commencement of Ashes of Creation Alpha One phase of development. After a hugely successful “Preview Weekend” which saw over 200K concurrent viewers on Twitch, the Ashes of Creation community is more excited than ever to see what’s next for the keenly anticipated title. As part of its commitment to an open and transparent game design process, Intrepid Studios will be laser-focused on community feedback across all of the systems and features that will be part of Alpha One.

Alpha One will run from Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Pacific to Friday, August 13, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Pacific and will allow players to play and test a number of systems in their core state including:

  • Server deployment and performance
  • System functionalities and behavior testing
  • Player characters and races
  • Combat systems
  • Character progression
  • Player-based economy
  • Node features
  • Sieges and Raid bosses
  • Ancillary systems including: caravans, drop, spawn, and reward table adaptations, player trading, mount and vehicle systems, raid and party functionality, guild progression and persistence, guild hierarchy, and chat systems

Ashes of Creation began life as a KickStarter project back in May of 2017. After over 9500 backers donated more than $3M USD, this marks a significant milestone in the development of the project, which no longer has any NDA in place as testers will be allowed and encouraged to share their experiences as the world of Verra comes to life on its path to launch.
