Arde Bogotá, the Spain quartet with origins in Bogotá, has become one of the best kept secrets in Spain’s rock scene and has asserted its position as one of the country’s most successful rock bands. The group, which is known for its explosive sound that maintains the rock essence in an industry dominated by urban and Latin rhythms, is now making its presence known in North America, recently garnering two nominations to the prestigious 24th Annual Latin Grammy Awards.
Arde Bogotá’s Latin Grammy nominations come in recognition of its latest album—its second in studio—“Cowboys de la A3,” which was produced by Lalo G.M and released by Sony Music Spain. With more than 16 million global Spotify streams to date, the project has been recognized in the Best Rock Album category this year, while one of the album’s singles, “Los Perros,” has been recognized in the Best Rock Song category.
“When you’re lost circumambulating Madrid, A-3 means HOME. With that premise, we began to write our second album, and it became a mantra that ended up guiding our entire lives. COWBOYS DE LA A3 is an album about what has happened to us writing an album.”
Originally formed in Cartagena, the band has quickly come to be a consistent resident on Spain’s music charts, with its two career albums topping the country’s sales charts. Its first album, “La Noche,” which was released more than two years ago, currently ranks at #37, and “Cowboys de la A3” is currently at #8, having already spent a total of 18 weeks on the charts so far and becoming the #1 sold physical album during the week of its release. The group’s remarkable success on the charts in the country it now calls home speaks to the incredible power of its music, as well as to the unique way in which it has resonated with music fans throughout Spain.
Arde Bogotá is currently captivating fans across Spain with its thrilling sound, presenting “Cowboys de la A3” at a number of iconic festivals such as Sonorama Ribera and BBK, and will soon begin its sold-out theater tour, during which it will perform at iconic venues such as Razzmatazz in Barcelona and Riviera de Madrid, where three dates were sold out within a matter of hours.
