2K today announced that 88rising’s new, unreleased project from 1999 WRITE THE FUTURE is available in NBA® 2K24 ahead of the official album release on February 9, 2024. NBA 2K24 players have been the first to hear the new genre-blurring tracks from the upcoming album titled hella (˃̣̣̥╭╮˂̣̣̥) ✧ ♡ ‧º·˚ for over two weeks before launching on global streaming platforms.
“We’re thrilled to be introducing unreleased music from 88rising to our players before anyone else gets to experience these tracks,” said David Kelley, Director of Partnerships and Licensing at 2K. “The NBA 2K soundtrack has evolved into a platform of discovery for new songs and new artists, with some of the world’s most famous musicians, along with the next rising stars, choosing to debut their latest tracks in-game before releasing it anywhere else.”
