Game of Thrones is back with House of the Dragon which talks about the past of Targaryen history and how the crown was fermented! We have HBO MAX, yes we weren’t chosen to see press episodes, but we will discuss the show below for all to see and share! Lets get to it and remember spoilers below!
We start off with a narrator talking about the old King looking for a heir over his kingdom. With all the Lords coming into to see who the winner is chosen, we see a gorgeous view of the kingdom. The lords chose Visery to become the new King of the 7 Kingdoms! We are then shown more about the show that it is 172 years prior to our Queen herself Daenerys, which I’m like I know dudes! We then see a Dragon flying around the skies with the daughter of the King. The knight is nervous because he is tasked to watch over her but she goes a bit wild on her Dragon. We then see the princess named Rhaenyra, who sees her mother and talks a bit. They talk about their royal wombs and how its their own battlefield and must be strong. Then we see the King with his counsel as they discuss about Triarchy and how they are destroying pirates in that area.
Rhaenyra then arrives to be the cup bearer for the council and listens in to what is going on in the kingdom. They talk about the Kings brother Daemon, aka the Doctor himself Matt Smith, and discuss his wrongdoings. Later, we see the King meet with his wife while she was taking a bath. The Queen tells the King that this is her final pregnancy because she can’t do anymore due to her past lost pregnancies. Then, Daemon with his city watch, slaughter all thieves, rapists and more in the city, Later, the King meets up with his council to discuss Daemon but he is already there. They talk about what is going on and Daemon is pissing off the Hand of the King during the conversation. A funny conversation but wait until the best scene happens that many should watch and chill to! Prince Daemon goes into pound town with one of his lady friends.
Then a tourney begans to honor the new child of the King and we are introduced to a few knights and names that will have us excited for future episodes! Then, we see Rhaenyra is invested on a Knight named Ser Christian that she wants to learn more about him. While the games are going on, we are seen a troubled situation with the Queen and the birth of the son. The King makes a judgement that I felt he was too late on and risked the death of his Queen and newborn son. Then we see a funeral procession for the Queen and son that is very sad. Rhaenyra takes charge and has the dragon blow fire onto the bodies to supplement them back into the wild.
I’ll stop here as there is more but rest of episode is epic and brings the charm and shall I say, old school Game of Thrones before it was ruined back into the world to view.
