SPECIAL GUESTS ATTEND A “SPIRITED” CELEBRATION OF DISNEY’S FRIGHTENINGLY FUN SUMMER MOVIE “HAUNTED MANSION” AND ENJOY THE ATTRACTION AT THE DISNEYLAND RESORT

BURBANK, Calif. (July 15, 2023) – Costumed characters, including grim grinning ghosts featured in the film, joined the special guests at this evening’s “spirited” celebration of Disney’s frighteningly fun summer movie “Haunted Mansion” at The Disneyland Resort.

The event was sponsored by State Farm, Zillow, Mars, Dolby, Michaels, New Orleans & Company and Generation Tux. 

 

Everybody who attended was able to ride the Haunted Mansion attraction in Disneyland’s New Orleans Square, before seeing the movie at the Hyperion Theater at Disney’s California Adventure.

 

An earlier stunt for Disney’s “Haunted Mansion” took place at Disneyland on June 24 when the film’s stars LaKeith Stanfield, Owen Wilson and Jamie Lee Curtis served as “honorary Disneyland cast members” working at the Haunted Mansion attraction and surprising the park’s unsuspecting guests. https://youtu.be/7GbYiaL7ZTo

 

Inspired by the classic theme park attraction, Disney’s “Haunted Mansion” is about a woman and her son who enlist a motley crew of so-called spiritual experts to help rid their home of supernatural squatters. Directed by Justin Simien, the film features an all-star cast ensemble cast including LaKeith Stanfield, Tiffany Haddish, Owen Wilson, Danny DeVito, Rosario Dawson, Chase W. Dillon and Daniel Levy, with Jamie Lee Curtis and Jared Leto as The Hatbox Ghost. The film’s producers are Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich, with Nick Reynolds and Tom Peitzman serving as executive producers. The film opens in theaters on July 28.
