NASHVILLE, Tenn – In anticipation of “the most wonderful time of the year,” Six Gun Sally celebrates the release of the debut holiday original “Get Our Christmas On.”* Written by band leader and drummer Dave Barbe, alongside Jeff Thurston and Seth Cook, and produced by Thurston and Cook, the track showcases a standout vocal performance by the group’s newest member and lead vocalist Natalie Brady (The Voice / Season 15 – 2018).
The festively intimate ballad is available now via all major digital retail outlets and streaming services (distribution by Ed Gertler/Digital Streaming Services).
Spotlighting a harmonious blend of romantic and sensual undertones woven seamlessly into classic Christmas themes, “Get Our Christmas On” is a tender invitation to pause and relish moments of the season. Silky seductive vocals backed by bold rhythm guitar and tasteful bells heighten the emotion and anticipation of lovers reuniting; while lyrics echo the longing for home and the nostalgia of holiday traditions. The sentiment and melody resonate with comforting familiarity and capture the essence of the Yuletide joy and sparks of mistletoe magic.
“We wanted to write a holiday song that was simplistic and sentimental with an easy-does-it feel and memorable melody,” said Dave Barbe, Six Gun Sally band leader and drummer. “I think we accomplished that and Natalie’s vocals are the icing on the cake.”
The release of “Get Our Christmas On” follows the momentum of the band’s recent single, titled “Let’s Take A Ride,” which charted at No. 50 on the MusicRow Country Breakout Chart and has enjoyed more than 100,000 Spotify streams to date.
ABOUT
A must-see, powerhouse of accomplished musicians and extraordinary vocalists, Six Gun Sally pays homage to the trendsetter bands of the 70s. The group of seven performs nearly 65 dates a year catering to audiences of all ages with a hankering for good ole southern and classic rock music (a la Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers, Molly Hatchet, Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin and Fleetwood Mac) and smokin’ hot originals in the same vein. The band’s 2023 tour schedule took them to arenas where they shared the stages with Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet and LoneStar. The band released its self-titled CD (2021) featuring 14 originals, including “Devil Made Me Do It,” “Sweet Long And Lean,” and the 2021 and 2022 releases, “Drunk Text,” and “The Last Time.”  The group’s most recent singles, “The Last Time” and “Let’s Take A Ride” enjoyed momentum on the MusicRow Country Breakout Chart in 2023 with the latter topping out at No. 50.
