Slaughter Day Film Review

Slaughter Day is a 1991 film from Brent Cousins starring Dave Anderson, and Sam Bluestone. It’s one wild shot on a video ride of gore and demons when two friends go to work. Only to find their co-worker is reading a Necromoincon book that takes over him. Now, these two friends must fight the evil that has been unleashed.  They have to stop it from spreading to others and growing this evil.

This one is a wild ride for sure a shot on video gem from the early 90s. That feels a lot like Evil Dead just on a tropical island. Full of cheesy practical SFX and a ton of blood what more can horror fans ask for? Almost a love letter to Evil Dead in a way but I am ok with it. A solid 6 out of a 10 for the nostalgic 90s film with some great gore and blood. The short run time of around an hour and lack of a good story still makes for one hell of a fun watch. I can say pick up a copy out now and watch some oh-so-cheesy 90s horror with some friends.
