Coming out of Washington D.C., MC Shif-t da NightChild showcases her diversity in many rapping styles on her latest album, “Alien.” The 53-minute tracklist highlights her delivery that smoothly complement the album’s hardhitting trap beats, full of heavy 808s. 

Highlights include “Memory Lane,” with impressive flows from featured artist SupaKoolKat that are followed up by equally passionate verses from Shif-T and Mazzip. “Lampin” is another standout, with her refrain of “One shot, two shot, three shot, Imma light it up” hitting hard during the track’s chorus. It was very enjoyable to listen to a rapper dive into this unique lane, particularly a female MC that don’t seem to get the opportunities in this industry to shine as brightly.
