It was also a very big day for horror, with our top two sales going to iconic horror props from Poltergeist and The Thing. We now move into days 2 and 3 of the auction, with hundreds of fantastic lots still to be sold to new owners around the world.”

About Propstore

In 1998, Propstore founder Stephen Lane’s love for movies led him to hunt for the same props and costumes used to create his favorite films. He found that he could not only provide collectors with access to their most coveted pieces, but also establish archival standards for this new, pop-culture hybrid of fine art and memorabilia collecting—prop art.

Since 2014, Propstore has been regularly hosting live auctions featuring some of cinema’s most coveted treasures and has continued to break auction records year after year. In recent years, Propstore has expanded beyond film memorabilia, hosting bi-annual cinema poster auctions, and ventured into the world of music memorabilia for the first time in 2022. In addition, Propstore holds regular online auctions, partnering with many of the film industry’s major production companies, as well as having over 5,000 items available for sale at fixed price on www.propstore.com.
