Miranda and the Beat are excited to share their new single “Concrete.” The track is the latest single to be released from their self-titled debut album out May 26 on Ernest Jenning Record Co. / King Khan’s Khannibalism label (pre-order). The track and it’s accompanying video, which was directed and edited by Miranda Zipse and Nate Turbow, debuted today at The Week In Pop and the song is on streaming platforms now for any playlist shares.
On the track the band’s Miranda Zipse says:
As a bartender in NYC for the past five years, I’ve found it’s almost impossible to kick people out at 4am, 5am, 6am, whenever! No one ever wants to leave the bar, they’ll just beg to have “afters” or hit another one. This song is about traversing the 12,000 miles of concrete around NYC just to keep the party alive.

“Concrete” is the follow up to the Miranda and the Beat’s single “Sweat,” the first single to be released from their upcoming album. Mixed with production by Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the band’s debut album is a hallucinogenic ode to the cannon of soul, garage punk, pure RnB and utter mayhem.

After losing a tooth and a few broken bones later, the band is now ready for the world to hear their self-titled debut album. It is hot and spicy with tracks like “Sweat,” glorifying hangover sweats “all up in your crack.”
