Montufar is making their long waited return to San Antonio opening up for Jesse and Joy at the historic Aztec Theatre. Montufar is made up of siblings Victor and Maria Fernanda that are originally from San Antonio. I checked out a few of their songs and I’m digging the tracks. They play indie rock with hints of alternative sprinkled in their music. I’m enjoying the song below titled Escaparnos as it has some unique sounds attached to the music vide. I’m also enjoying Maria Fernanda’s voice in the track as it feels as it transcends the tremble of the speakers to my laptop. The music resonates very well and brings a wholesome balance throughout the track.

They will be opening up for Jesse and Joy on August 1st and will start the show at 7:40PM. Be sure to get your tickets now to support Montufar and hear some good music!

About MONTUFAR:

The emerging latin duo arrives with a new music proposal, originally from San Antonio, they have created their sound with the inspiration of indie rock and alternative pop. In June they had their first sold out show in Mexico City. Currently Montufar is working on their first EP which will be released later on this year. They are currently part of the distributor Oplaai, who will be in charge of distributing their next songs to digital platforms. Their two most recent songs: “OJOS” and “ESCAPARNOS“, have been well received, both by the public and digital platforms, in September 2022 Spotify chose the duo as its Fresh Finds Latin cover. Additionally, both songs have been placed on editorial playlists for Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music. The duo has written the lyrics for each song and they have recorded their three songs at the Chapel studios in Mexico City with producer Jerónimo Quintana.
