Interview:

What is your inspiration to write your music? Is it your Surroundings?

There are many things that inspire us to write, of course always related to the world around us but also to our internal world.

Many times we are moved by situations that we see or hear, things that seem unfair or unreasonable to us, stories of abuse, the manipulation of the powerful and the destruction of nature, but we always find the time to talk about love and our feelings. There’s still some good in this world

What type of music did you listen to growing up?

Lots of music. Imagine being 4 individuals much more. All born in different cities (even countries) and with very different backgrounds.

Richi is from Talca, the south of Chile and he is a melomaniac of melodic punk rock, he knows thousands of bands of that style, his band of his life is Green Day, Ale is from La Serena, the north of Chile, he comes form a very religious family that as a child threw his rock records in the trash. He knows a lot of Latin music and likes the LA wave of the 80s and English rock. Me, Elisa, I’m from Bilbao, Basque Country, one of the cradles of punk in Spanish, I grew up in the 90s with Sonic Youth and Smashing Pumpkins, and always was an untypical child, preferring heavier music, with a darker vibe, the alternative. I also like experimental music, electronic, new wave or trip hop, metal, some industrial or goth things too, I could go on all night haha.

Is there someone you looked up as a hero?

I personally admire women, the mothers of these times, our pillars in broken homes, hard-working women who have known how to survive in this world of men, guiding us not to sink into the slavery to which we are subjected and giving us strength not to lose hope of getting ahead despite all the discrimination, abuse and inequalities we go through every day. Today we can say that small changes are beginning to be seen in how society treats us, in women’s rights, but there is still much to be done.

If you weren’t a musician, would you be doing today?

What would you be doing? or What would I like to be doing? haha it’s very different. Unfortunately as Mick Jagger says: you can’t always get what you want.

I believe that without music I would be lost, I feel that music has saved my life thousands of times and I have a bond with it that I believe is from another life.

But what would I like if it didn’t exist? I would like to be an astronaut and see the universe… or if I could, if dirty money did not exist, I would have a little boat, I would live in a house near the sea and I would not work for anyone but myself and my family.

What advice do you have for our fans out there that want to create music?

To dedicate yourself and make a living from music, you have to dedicate a lot of time to it, it is a full-time job. You have to leave your 100% and put your soul into it. Do not let yourself be put down by bad comments that will always be there. You have to be immune to envy and haters. Don’t get frustrated with your mistakes, learn from them and worry about improving yourself and always move on. Worry about the message you want to deliver, music is all about connecting with people. Have self confidence, clearly visualize your goals and don’t lose your way because of what others say, fashion or money, because after all the effort, if you don’t like what you do, it won’t represent you and it won’t make you happy.
