Interview:

What is your inspiration to write your music? Is it your
surroundings?

I would say that much of the inspiration for the music I write is seeing things in the world that I think need to change. Prejudice, apathy, narcissism, suicide – these are the themse of then songs on the upcoming EP. So, I do suppose you could say it is my surroundings. I just want to use the music as a platform to start a conversation about improving the world.

What type of music did you listen to growing up?

My dad got me into heavy metal when I was young, and he even hand-built my first guitar for me! From there it was just taking in all that I could and developing my personal taste in  music, from the classics of metal to punk, death metal, hardcore, to the polished sound of modern metalcore.

Is there someone you looked up as a hero?

My dad, for sure, since he was the one who got me into music. I’d also mention my uncle Joe, who was a very talented musician but passed away when I was young. I felt proud to kind of take up the musical torch and forge my path in the industry

If you weren’t a musician, would you be doing today?

I’ve been doing woodworking from the time I was old enough to work. To this day, I still build furniture. Much of the time, some of my best musical ideas come to me when I’m in the shop building something

What advice do you have for our fans out there that want to create
music?

No one is going to just “discover” you. Put in the work, promote yourself as hard as you can, adn hone your craft. Even the “overnight successes” you hear about blowing up on youtube or tiktok have years and years of work behind them that got them to that point.
