Interview:

What is your inspiration to write your music? Is it your

surroundings?

My inspiration to write music comes from a deep desire to help others. Music has the power to bring people together, heal emotional wounds, and provide solace during difficult times. It can inspire change, foster creativity, and promote a sense of belonging. Through my music, I strive to take listeners on a journey of self-discovery, confronting existential concerns and problems that may initially shatter their world view. My goal is to guide them through these challenges and ultimately help them rebuild a stronger, more resilient perspective.

What type of music did you listen to growing up?

Growing up, my musical tastes evolved through various phases. I enjoyed listening to music from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. I listened to so many artists growing up. Just randomly thinking off the top of my head, as a kid my playlist might look like: Green Day, Boyz 2 Men, Extreme, Weezer, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Sugar Ray, Breaking Benjamin, Will Smith.. However, my biggest influences have always been Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, The Beatles, and Queen.

Is there someone you looked up as a hero?

I’m fortunate to be surrounded by many heroes in my life. My family members have chosen careers focused on helping others, with my grandparents, parents, and siblings all setting great examples of generosity and compassion. My grandpa worked as a missionary in Africa and a counselor, while my dad served as a police officer who prioritized people and moral judgment above all else. My grandma was an army and emergency room nurse, and my mom has been both a teacher and a counselor. I’m also inspired by my close friends who share a similar mindset. Outside of my family, a major hero of mine is Marcus Vincent Phillips Jr.

If you weren’t a musician, would you be doing today?

Doing something creative trying to influence others and have a positive impact on people’s lives.

What advice do you have for our fans out there that want to create

music?

My advice for fans who want to create music is to write from the heart and convey a genuine message. Be passionate about your craft and let that emotion fuel your creativity. By staying true to yourself and your vision, your music will resonate with others and make a lasting impact.
