Atlanta, GA – Alternative rock outfit, Faithless Town, has released their stirring new single, “Tears Rolling Down,” which takes a heartbreaking look at the anguish frontman Gene Owens experienced as he processed the death of a friend. “Tears Rolling Down” is available now to stream and download on all digital platforms, with its accompanying music video set for release on March 17.

Told from the perspective of a grieving man who is determined to honor his relationship with his departed friend, Owens highlights his ability to share his personal experiences through his music and touching on moments that resonate and settle in the heart of his listeners. Focusing on remembrance, not avoidance, Owens refuses to bury the memories to avoid the turmoil accompanying them. Displaying his vulnerability candidly, without crossing the line that separates poignant songcraft from heavy-handed songwriting, he portrays a deep understanding of the human condition, creating a casual conversation out of a topic that could easily become an emotional bloodletting.  “Tears Rolling Down” is the second track taken from the band’s forthcoming EP Into The Light Vol.2, set for release later this year. “Bride,” released last month and features Leora Joy Perrie, is set to the vibrant jangle of a ukulele and propelled forward by energetic “heys.” The song’s infectious chorus and exuberant, merry energy propelled Grimy GoodsOnes To WatchTwangville, and others to support the release.

Faithless Town’s latest record, Into The Light Vol.1, is the first part of their upcoming two-part album; when played together, the complete EPs add up to sides A and B of a classic full-length album. Since its release in April, the first project has gained praise from champions like Bored City, Americana UK, Rock At Night, and Impose Magazine, among others.

The rock band, originally from Atlanta, GA, released their first full-length album, American Refugee, in 2012, featuring the single “Ghosts Of My Hometown,” which received FM radio play throughout the American southeast. Their sophomore album, EMPIRES, featuring the singles “California Come Home” and “New World Order,” was released by Spectra Records in 2020. Faithless Town’s portfolio boasts some of the most famous stages in the country, including The Whisky a Go Go and The Viper Room. They have supported acts such as Chris Knight, Graham Colton, Five Times August, The Band Camino, and Jake Clemons of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band.

With lush vocal harmonies and intricately woven acoustic guitars, Faithless Town’s new single, “Tears Rolling Down,” is a masterpiece of minimalist folk. The second single from the forthcoming EP, Into The Light Vol.2, the melancholic song has a solemn, reflective tone that aches with beautiful melodies and skillful guitar interplay. Written by Faithless Town’s singer, Gene Owens, the single features Owens on acoustic guitar, Aaron Rogers on lead guitar and includes a guest appearance from folk songwriter, Jude Roberts, on harmony vocals. “Tears Rolling Down” is available now to stream and download on all digital platforms.
