In a moment of great joy and hope, Latinx artists Erni Lu and Renee Goust come together to celebrate in-person performances again with emotional live renditions of 3 of their original songs. The first is ‘Volverte a Ver’ and it is available here.

Featuring Erni Lu and Renee Goust on vocals and guitars, accompanied by Yayo Serka on percussion and KJ ‘The Oddysy’ on bass, ‘Volverte a Ver’ was originally composed in 2020 during the Covid 19 lockdown. The song was created remotely and recorded from separate locations, with GRAMMY-nominated engineer and producer Jeanne Montalvo in charge of making it sound as if the artists were playing together in one place.

In this new live version, Jeanne Montalvo once again takes the reins to record – this time with all the musicians actually present in the same room. Erni Lu mentions, “This takes us full circle. The song was composed and recorded remotely, but now, here we are together – as it should have always been.” Renee Goust adds, “It’s a great way to celebrate the end of the restrictions and that we can ‘see each other again.’”

Erni Lu is preparing for the release of his highly anticipated debut album, titled ‘Siempre’, scheduled for August, with his upcoming single, ‘Amor Platonico’ dropping next month.

Meanwhile, Renee Goust will be performing live on June 3rd at the South Bronx Culture Festival in New York, on June 17th at Sonora Pride in Hermosillo, Sonora, and on June 24th at the LGBTTTI+ Pride March in Mexico City’s Zócalo. The Sonoran singer-songwriter will also be releasing a new single during Pride Month, in collaboration with Amnesty International of the Americas and the Costa Rican label We Could Be Music.

This musical encounter represents a special moment for Erni Lu and Renee Goust, as well as a celebration of resilience and hope in the face of the challenges posed by the pandemic.
