30XX Nintendo Switch Review

30XX is the newest game for the Nintendo Switch that will quench your Mega Man X itch. 30XX continues on from 20XX that had fans clamouring for more. You will shoot energy blasts against evil robots and break them down to nothing throughout each level. There are ten randomly-generated levels with Nina and Ace as they try and save the world.

We were able to get a review code to check out and try 30XX on our Nintendo Switch. 30XX downloaded pretty fast to our Switch and didn’t require much size to our SD card. I was able to play the game with a full battery, so I can enjoy everything about the game.

Our Thoughts

Pro:

  • Music
    • The music is fantastic in this game! Very addictive while you are traversing throughout the levels with music that gets your heart pumping with joy.
  • Boss Fights
    • I like how the boss fights in the game have you feeling like your fighting a real boss. I’m used to games where all you need to do is hit the boss with two hits and your done which doesn’t feel like an accomplishment. Throughout 30XX boss matches, you must fight hard to destroy the boss. You will get creative on ways to bring them down in order to win the game. I dig that!

Con:

  • Controls
    • The slide jumping is a big weird to me and often confuses me while playing the game. What confuses me that I would need to push B and Y to do certain things and then go straight to R and B. The more you play in the game, the levels do get difficult so taking time to master the controls is a must.

Rating: 7 out of 10
