(San Antonio, TX) Ballet San Antonio is thrilled to announce the opening of a professional dance school and the appointment of Sofiane Sylve as Artistic Advisor of Ballet San Antonio and the Director of the School of Ballet San Antonio.

The School of Ballet San Antonio will open in September 2020 offering a challenging curriculum based on classical ballet technique.  The mission of the School of Ballet San Antonio is to train and inspire the next generation of dancers, providing a sound and comprehensive ballet training and an appreciation for the beauty of the art form.  Registration for the school will be available online in April 2020.

 

From July 27 – August 7, 2020 Ballet San Antonio will host a Summer Intensive taught by Sofiane Sylve (Artistic Advisor, Ballet San Antonio) and guest faculty Jeffrey Lyons (San Francisco Ballet School) and Veronika Part (Atlanta Ballet).  The 2-week program will offer classical ballet technique classes, as well as pointe work and batteries.  It will also present what the School of Ballet San Antonio will be providing year-round.  Registration is open at balletsanantonio.org/summer- intensive.
