World Championship Boxing Manager 2 Xbox Series S Review

World Championship Boxing Manager 2 Xbox Series S Review

We are big boxing fans not only for real life boxing but also gaming wise. We were overjoyed to hear of the new game from Ziggurat Interactive! World Championship Boxing Manager 2 is a sequel that captures the essence of the original and gives it a modern look into the boxing world. World Championship Boxing Manager 2 recently came out to consoles, and we are excited to jump in position to box one out against our foes.

We were able to get a review copy of the game for our Xbox Series S console. We were able to download the game to our Xbox Series S console quite quickly and didn’t take up too much space at all. I enjoyed playing the game and learn the different aspects of managing a fighter. I didn’t realize all that took place to make sure your fighter was in tip top shape for the next fight. I also realized that booking a fight, getting your fighter’s name out there, and more is so unique and different. You gain a better respect for managers out there that actually manage the fine details of a fighter’s training regiment.

Here are our thoughts:

Pro:

  • Pixel Graphics
    • I’m a huge retro fan and love the game deployed pixel graphics! Watching the story unfold of the fighter and manager through those pixel graphics were pretty sweet. I enjoyed reading the story and seeing the manager and fighters come to fruitarian throughout the game.
  • Managing Fighters
    • I have a new found respect for managers of fighters! I didn’t realize all what took to make sure a fighter was ready for the next fight. You had to make sure there was proper training, rest, time for doctors, and more. I was able to create a time management scheme for my fighters that helped them grow as a fighter but enjoy their time with my gym.

Con:

  • Weight Class
    • As a boxing fan, I’m used to seeing various fighters in different weight classes. I know in this game, you fight to grow your name, your brand, and make some money. I would like to manage fighters in different weight classes and see how their training regiment could differ between each other.

Rating: 8 out of 10
