As I type this review, my fingers are strangely hitting the keys in a unique manner. The stream from the Matrix movie lights up the keyboard in a manner that feels like I am in the Matrix. My fingers don’t have to outstretch themselves to hit the keys which is making me feel like I’m typing faster than ever.

Today, I have in my hands the new keyboard from Whirlwind FX. The keyboard is called Atom where its made for gaming just like any mechanical keyboard. This keyboard is 60% smaller though than traditional keyboards yet packs a punch that will bruise the competition into submission. So we decided to take a run with the keyboard and do a quick rundown review.

Pro:

• 60% Size
  • Size matters everybody! The size you prefer is what helps you continue to use your keyboard to game and do daily tasks. This keyboard’s size would be good for E-sports athletes as this can help with their competitions. A smaller keyboard would give the fingers a faster touch to various keys instead of the bigger ones where you would need to extend your fingers more. A good way to continue to elevate E-Sports through this keyboard that can help you train to become a future champion.
• Game Integrations
  • The various amount of games you can integrate this keyboard into is far more fingers and toes I have all together. The games include Apex Legends, CSGO, PUBG, Black Ops, Smite, Heroes of the Storm and many more. These integrations allow light effects to be synchronized to the game which gives it more of an experience playing the game. This also gives the user a way to jump into the game even more using their keyboard.
• Whirlwind Engine Program
  • I would have assumed many keyboards wouldn’t need a downloadable program from their website to function. Yes, this keyboard is still plug and play and will work when you use your computer. The Whirlwind Engine Program is on another level of badassery though! This program gives you all the capabilities to use the Whirlwind FX keyboard to its fullest extent. Your able to download different effects to use on the keyboard and integrate it to your own game while your playing.
• Detachable USB C Cable
  • As a person that likes to organized, I like to put away products properly and safely. This keyboard has a detachable USB-C cable that will help not only with organization but with travel needs. Why travel? Well, on those long media days in the press room, I like to play games on my laptop to refresh my mind. With this smaller keyboard and detachable cable, gaming on the go would be easier.

Whirlwind FX Atom Keyboard is on another league of its own! You still get the same aspects of a mechanical keyboard such as Whirlwind’s Element for example but in a smaller size. The keyboard is 60% smaller, has detachable USB C Cable, larger game integrations and uses the engine program. This keyboard is very exciting as I never seen a keyboard that is smaller than keyboards I have used in the past but function better than those I have used. In all, this keyboard is in the right direction for gamers that continue to game as well as E-Sports athletes that want to train with the best products. Whirlwind FX Atom is one of the best keyboards out there at the moment! A new way to game
