I was able to binge Season 3 of What If yesterday on my Disney Plus account. I was quite disappointed on the way the episodes went for the show. They seemed very boring and not much of “What If” and basically recycled previous stories from previous seasons to make it seem different. I did enjoy seeing Byrdie The Duck, even though she had limited screen time, she did make an impact. I also liked the episode with The Red Guardian and how he interacted with the Winter Soldier. The ending sucked but it still had a good episode. The word sucked was said a lot throughout this series.
Why was Agatha in the show? Why did she get an episode? Why did the episode suck? I was on my phone not paying attention after watching the first 5 minutes of the episode being shown. Then, the Watcher and Peggy 2 part episodes just felt so boring. I wanted to see something different with different characters and different scenarios. I was presented with nothing but recycled stories to make it look new. I enjoyed season 1 and 2 of What If but Season 3 dropped the ball hard!
Pro:
- Byrdie The Duck
- With the limited amount of screen time Byrdie had, she totally saved this show. Her enthusiasm and very unorthodox of doing things was very compelling and creative.
- The Red Guardian
- The Red Guardian episode was fun and exciting of the series. I would like to say it was the best one compared to all episodes shown in this show.
Con:
- Agatha
- Very boring and didn’t enjoy this episode. Very forced in this episode.
- Watcher and Peggy
- I didn’t see the need to do two part episode of the Watcher and Peggy. Felt there wasn’t much creative input in this season with the focus on those two.
