What If Season 2 Disney Plus Review

The first season of What If is my favorite post Endgame shows on Disney Plus. I have seen season 1 a few times as I felt it was one of the best creative shows from Marvel in years. With Season 2 announced, I was very excited to see what the show will feature and create. I was disappointed as Season 2 was trash. There were an episode or two that was fantastic from Marvel Studios, but it couldn’t hold my attention. I was more on my phone just scrolling Reddit, than I was watching various episodes of Season 2.

Our Thoughts

Pro:

  • Episode A Day
    • The episode a day technique is something all streaming companies should look into. Waiting a week for an episode of a show can be utmost dreaded, but this way, your able to see an episode each day.
  • Native American story
    • I enjoyed the Native American story they had on episode 6 featuring the character Kahhori. I enjoyed that story as it felt very original to what What If should have been and focused on as well.

Con:

  • Didn’t feel special
    • Season 2 didn’t feel special at all. They even used Happy as a Bruce Willis type character in a Die Hard mimic episode that just reeked. I didn’t think they would do a Die Hard episode full on; I would have expected a joke here and there but nope.
  • Too Much Captain Carter
    • I didn’t like the focus on the later episodes of the season on Captain Carter. They continued from her arc from Season 1 in this season and it was boring. I felt they could have used another What If character to fill up that spot story wise. I was just bored with her arc and episodes she was featured on.

Rating: 5 out of 10
