Werewolf: The Apocalypse to the World of Darkness [Dev Diary]

October 5. 2020, Warsaw — The upcoming savage horror game Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Heart of the Forest was designed as a door to the rich universe-spanning such brands as Vampire: The Masquerade and Wraith: The Oblivion. The new Dev Diary reveals the choice that the developer Different Tales made in order to introduce new players to the World of Darkness.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Heart of the Forest is inspired by the lore and mechanics of the legendary RPG system from the World of Darkness universe. In this story-focused experience, you play Maia, a young girl who comes to Poland looking for her roots and gets drafted into an ancient war.

In Dev Diary #10, lead developer Artur Ganszyniec talks about the way the game was designed to familiarize new players with the rich lore of the World of Darkness universe.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Heart of the Forest will launch on October 13, 2020, on PC, Mac, and Linux through Steam, GOG.com, and GeForce Now, at $14.99 / €12.49 / £11.39, with a seven day long 10% release discount.
