I was able to get a hold of the WD Black 2TB P10 Game drive from my brother recently. I was pretty excited to own one of these drives as I heard a lot of good stories from people who own them. The stories usually are the massive amount of space they have for consoles. Well, I am excited because now I have space on my Xbox Series S console. The console comes with only 512 GB of space which is potatoes in today’s gaming world.
With the WD Black P10 Game Drive, I’m able to move games and apps from the internal drive to the external drive in a matter of seconds. I’m able to download my Xbox One and 360 games from cloud and have them housed in the external drive, so I can pick and chose which games to play when I have the chance. The only drawback is my Xbox Series S next gen games won’t play from the drive, but I’m able to move them from the internal to external to be played at a later date.

Pro:
- Size
- 2TB of size is huge for me! I’m used to my 512 GB of space on my Xbox Series S console which I would have to decide which game to download, delete, redownload, etc. This drive size gives me the opportunity to move games around in my storage.
- Speed
- The speed of the drive is phenomenal! I’m able to move apps and games from my internal drive to the external in a matter of seconds. I’m excited a lot about the speed as I like things to go fast!
Con:
- Doesn’t run Next Gen Games
- With the Xbox Series S, I was hoping the games I own from there would run on the drive. Unfortunately, it doesn’t run the games on the drive, it does store them, but not run them. I would have to move the game from external drive to the internal one inorder for the game to play.
