Victor Crowley is back in the latest installment of the Hatchet series making this the fourth in the series.
Kane Hodder is back to play the vicious killer Victor Crowley. We go back to Honey Island Swamp ten years after the last film. We pick up with Andrew (Parry Shen) after a long court battle and being blamed for the massacre at Honey Island Swamp. We find him on a book tour in support of his new book. Also, we follow a young filmmaking team trying to get Andrew on board with there film. Not knowing that there first meeting would not be there last. Andrew is forced back to Honey Island Swamp for an on-location interview. The only thing to bring him back is money. The film team is setting up for the mock trailer shoot. The makeup artist is reading the script trying to read what is the voodoo curse used on the Crowley’s. She looks up voodoo curses on Youtube only to get tons of people saying the cure over and over till we get one who says’s it correct and bring’s Victor back. On a side note, the cameo of who speaks the curse is a huge one for horror fans. After there meeting with Andrew does not go as plan their second chance is upon them. Just not in the way they have wanted.
With Victor Crowley back the killing begins and it’s coming with a vengeance. I must say the killing of Felissa Rose’s character is one of the best kills in a long time on film. This film is a build-up to the end of the film and it is sure worth the wait. Be sure to see the credits don’t turn off the movie.
Disclaimer this is a nonpaid review I purchased the Blu-Ray copy and all opinions are mine.
In Hatchet fashion, it is full of great actors and actress of the horror genre. The killing in this film was filled with some of the best kill scenes I have seen in a while they go all out with the kills and they do not disappoint.
As a horror movie fan as well of the hatchet series this is one for any horror movie collection. I like this film very much and it fits in the series well. The setup is set for more films to be made.

The featurettes are worth a watch we get to see how they pulled off so many of the kills. I’m a huge fan of behind the scenes featurettes and to see how the cast interacts with each other.
To see what it took to make the film and all the hard work from the film crew.
