FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The Uprising Academy announced today that support player Jeong-su “Aztac” Park has been traded to the Toronto Defiant, pending league approval. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Aztac, 20, joined Uprising Academy prior to Overwatch Contenders Trials in July. After three months of North American Trials, Uprising Academy loaned Aztac to Korean Contenders team WGS Phoenix, where he helped the team become the region’s Week 4 champions and eventually the season champions, defeating RunAway in the finals. Before joining Uprising Academy, Aztac played for teams in the Korean, Pacific and Chinese Contenders regions.

“Aztac was one of the hardest working players on the team,” said Andrew “AndrewKendo” Fiori, General Manager of Uprising Academy. “As soon as I watched Aztac play, I knew he wouldn’t be on Uprising Academy for very long. Toronto is not only getting a good player but a fantastic teammate.”

The Uprising Academy are the official academy team of the Boston Uprising competing in Overwatch Contenders. The Boston Uprising are currently constructing their roster for the 2021 Overwatch League season. The Uprising’s 2020 season concluded on September 4.
