Taking her cues from the silky production acts like Ella Mai and Jhene Aiko and incorporating elements of old school R&B from artists such as Justin Timberlake and Chris Brown, the soulful singer-songwriter crafts her unique R&B/Soul sound.
Currently studying at Leeds College of Music, MEDUSA has always known music was her passion. Growing up surrounded by musical influences across various genres such as soul, R&B and Hip-Hop, MEDUSA soon began emerging herself in music. From the age of six, she would grasp every opportunity to sing, dance and play instruments, dreaming of a chance to perform on stage one day.
Speaking on the single, MEDUSA stated: It’s about being in a relationship with
someone who puts their own personal needs above you and does not prioritize you enough as they should. It’s about realizing that you are worth more than that and you are seeking for someone who will give you their 100%, someone who’s willing to be all in or get all out.
With soothing vocals over a chill/dreamy beat, ‘Man Like That’ thrives on emotion and passion, with Medusa’s refreshing voice and harmonies as the central instrument.
