Following a breakthrough year in 2024 which included sold out shows in the UK, USA and EU performing to over 350k people, +50m views and +200k new followers on socials, British band Tors release ‘Scared’, the newest moving, melancholic single from their forthcoming EP ‘Never Give Up’, due for release February 28th via Glassnote Records. ‘Scared’ was made with Simone Felice (The Lumineers, Noah Kahan, Vance Joy) and continues the band’s ongoing collaboration with the legendary producer, showing off their indelible sonic hallmarks and tight-knit vocal harmonies in full, awe-inspiring force. Listen HERE.
Tors says of the newest release, “‘Scared’ is a song about the loves we miss out on when we can’t muster the courage to pursue them. We can all be so prone to overthinking and assuming how the other person is feeling that we talk ourselves off the ledge of sending a message, making a phone call or even approaching someone we feel strongly about. It can be terrifying putting yourself out there and being vulnerable, but sometimes we need to remember it’s the blind leading the blind when it comes to love. No one really knows what they’re doing and it’s going to hurt sometimes.”
Tors’ accomplished musicianship must be in the genes: brothers Matt and Theo Weedon are the grandchildren of ‘Play In A Day’ guitar legend Burt Weedon OBE, while Jack Bowden’s mother and sister are both music teachers. Tors recently performed at Glastonbury Festival, at international festivals in the USA (Bottlerock opening for Ed Sheeran and Bonnaroo) and at Pinkpop in the Netherlands. They were recently added to the BBC Radio 1 playlist as the Introducing Track of the Week, added to the BBC Radio 2 playlist, made ALT Nation’s Advance Placement and went Top 100 airplay in Germany. Previous support shows include James Blunt, Cian Ducrot, Sam Ryder, Freya Ridings and Picture This. Coverage has come from the likes of Notion, The Line of Best Fit, TMRW and Wonderland who said Tors have “Musical greatness in their blood”.
Tors recently completed their sold out headline tour in Europe in September 2024 and are joining Myles Smith on his world tour throughout the spring of this year, which has already sold out in select cities. Tickets for the highly-anticipated tour are available HERE. The shows are:
