The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts announces its 2022-2023 Signature Series, National Geographic Live Series and the 7th Annual Benefit Concert Artists

(San Antonio, TX – May 10, 2022) Last night, The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts announced it 2022-23 Tobin Signature SeriesNational Geographic Live Series and the 7th Annual Benefit Concert Artist. These announcements included a spectacular lineup of magic, Broadway theatre, and high energy performances, as well as the return of behind-the-scenes stories and firsthand presentations by world-renowned photographers, cinematographers and NASA Aerospace engineers who travel the world to get the powerful stories and images you’ve seen on the National Geographic Channel and in National Geographic magazine.

But, as the attendees of this last night’s announcement celebration were really waiting to know was who the performer would be for the return of the Tobin’s Benefit Concert.

The Benefit Concert will feature the GRAMMY® Award-winning, Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, The Doobie Brothers with Michael McDonald. This anniversary performance marks the first time the Doobie Brothers and McDonald have performed together in decades. The Doobie Brothers join the ranks of Gladys Knight, Paul McCartney, Lionel Richie, Dolly Parton, and Steven Tyler, all of whom have previously headlined the venue’s annual benefit concert- where attendees can experience arena level artists in a 1700 seat theater.

The evening will include a distinctive seated dinner, an intimate performance by The Doobie Brothers, and end with the renowned Tobin Center after-party and VIP Lounge.

All proceeds benefit The Tobin Center’s Community Outreach programs and Generation NEXT Education Initiative, both working to provide inclusive and diverse educational and artistic experiences to the people of Bexar County.

 

Tickets for the 7th Annual Benefit Concert and subscriptions for both series are on sale NOW.  Subscribe to the entire series or create your own season within the series and save!   Not only will subscribers benefit from savings, but they are also guaranteed the same seats for each show and free ticket exchanges within the series they are subscribed to. In addition, Tobin Members who subscribe will have all ticketing fees waived until June 9th and will receive a free parking voucher for each show in the Tobin Center Parking Garage.   

 

Single tickets for both series events go on sale on June 9th at 10am.

Cosmic Adventures with Tracy Drain

Aerospace engineer Tracy Drain works at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory to develop, test, and operate the complex machines that uncover some of the countless mysteries within and beyond our solar system.
