This past Sunday, October 13th, renowned horror outlet FANGORIA revealed the winners of its annual Chainsaw Awards, celebrating the very best of horror across all artistic mediums.
2024 marked the debut of the Best Video Game Award, and its inaugural winner is none other than The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. Developed by Gun Interactive and Sumo Nottingham, with contributions from Black Tower Studios, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is an asymmetrical horror game inspired by the legendary 1974 film, with new features continuously added to the game since its launch on August 18th, 2023.
Posting from the official Gun Interactive Twitter account, the team shared the following statement:
“The Texas Chain Saw Massacre wins the first ever Chainsaw Award for Best Video Game from @FANGORIA. This would not be possible without our amazing cast of actors, our studio teams, and everyone who put their heart into Texas. But most of all thanks to YOU, the community, for your support and votes!”
Last month, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre introduced Rush Week, a brand-new game mode that changes up the essential formula of the game’s mechanics. As well, the TCSM Content Pass is now available to all players, which provides immediate access to upcoming DLC, cosmetics and other new features.
