The Kings Daughter a film by Sean McNamara starring Pierce Brosman and Kaya Scodelario. King Louie XIV is a madman’s quest to live forever to rule France. Marie is a young woman living in a monastery there since a child. Not knowing her father and mother died at a very young age. King Louie is on a quest to capture a mermaid for a ritual to give him immortality.

Marie is taken from where she lives and brought to the King’s castle along with the mermaid. Not knowing her ties to the great King she is in for a world of adventure. She is also in for love and about to meet the greatest friend she will ever have. The King will try his hardest to give himself life eternal.

Love and friendship grow from the mermaid Marie falls in love with the Captain that caught the mermaid. While she finds out the truth about her father he readies himself for the ritual. Will things work out for the King or not and what will come of Marie and the mermaid. Check out The Kings Daughter out now.

Overall I give this one a 6 out of 10 for a good but a bit slow story. A bit of holes in the story I felt could have added to the overall story. Kaya does a wonderful job bringing Marie to life as well Pierce seems fit for these roles. Check it out yourself and watch the tale unfold and how it ends.
