The French-based start-up Useful Innovation Mindset, co-founded by Mélanie Neveu and Nicolas Josancy, is proud to announce its participation in the Consumer Electronics Show (CES)

On this occasion, the company will unveil Coucou Visio, a unique concept designed to bridge the gap between those who are unfamiliar with technology and those who are digitally connected, enabling everyone to maintain social links.

After over three years of research and development, Coucou Visio introduces a patented technological process that connects landline phones to televisions, allowing users to make video calls with ease. Two participants join a private and secure video room: one by pressing the # key on their landline phone and the other through a dedicated intergenerational web application.

In France, 3.6 million seniors are excluded from the digital world, exacerbating their social isolation. In the United States, nearly 22 million seniors lack wireline broadband access at home, representing 42% of the over-65 population.

“Coucou Visio is more than just a technological innovation; it’s a social mission.
By adding functionnalities familiar tools, we aim to bridge the digital divide and fight social isolation,especially for seniors. This is about making technology human again—accessible, inclusive, and empowering for everyone,” emphazes Mélanie Neveu, CEO of Useful Innovation Mindset.

Coucou Visio addresses the challenges of social isolation and digital illiteracy by adding functionnalities familiar devices without requiring complex additional equipment. It eliminates technological barriers such as touchscreens, updates, passwords, or rechargeable batteries, offering an immediate, user-friendly experience accessible to all.

The launch of Coucou Visio is planned for early 2025, with a monthly subscription model and no long-term commitment. The solution is currently undergoing trials, financially supported by Carsat and the Conference of Funders of Puy-de-Dôme (France), as part of their “Aging Well” and “Aging in Place” project calls.
Participating in CES 2025 offers an international platform for Useful Innovation Mindset to promote its innovation philosophy: the belief that technology must serve a social purpose.
