Free Enhancements Include New Survival Play Mode, New Character & More Than 3,000 New Maps
LOS ANGELES – WEDNESDAY, November 18, 2020 – Indie game developer Galaxy Pest Control today released a major update to its single-player turn-based tactical PC game loosely based on the infamous battle between the Hatfields and the McCoys, The Feud: Wild West Tactics. The “Unlimited Frontier” patch introduces significant enhancements including an entirely new Survival play mode, a new hero character, and more than 3,000 new map variations. The “Unlimited Frontier” update is free to download for current players of the game, which is available on Steam for $29.99 USD.
The Feud: Wild West Tactics is a strategy game focused on small team battles, where players select and learn their characters’ abilities and specialties in order to survive. The game initially offered a Story mode with three separate storylines and 32 missions, a Western Saga “metagame” mode, and a quick-challenge shoot-out Skirmish mode with more than 120 maps. Today’s update adds a ton of content and new ways to play.

New “Unlimited Frontier” Gameplay Enhancements
  • New Survival Play mode – Players can now select their five favorite characters and see how long they can survive against wave after wave of enemies ranging from gunslingers to bears, wolves and more. The Survival mode includes a personal leaderboard to track your posse’s performance and beat your personal best.
  • New “Akima” Hero Character – One of the characters that just missed making it into the initial launch is Akima, a bow and axe-wielding character that manages enemies in a “tank” manor. His powerful Warcry can draw enemies’ attention, while he strikes with range-focused or melee-focused attacks – or a combination of both
  • More than 3,000 new map variations – A combination of randomization and hand-built content substantially expand the number of levels available in Skirmish, Survival and, most importantly, the Saga play modes. The new map count increases play options across the Desert, Forest, Mountains, Swamps, and Grasslands, as well as on resources such as Mills and Mines.
  • New Saga Mode Events – The addition of all these new maps brings two new events to the Saga mode. The “Trip Out West” event brings the Saga to the Desert, while the “Abandon Mine” event introduces a new location type previously only available in a single storyline in Story mode
  • New Resource Defenders – This new Saga mode feature lets the player and their enemies assign defenders to protect important resources. Choose from weak, normal, or skilled defenders – a five-man posse of hired guns, as you prioritize resources and make it harder to capture.
