ABOUT ROBERT E. HOWARD:
Robert Ervin Howard was born January 22, 1906 in Peaster, Texas. He began his career as a writer for Weird Tales magazine, a fantasy and horror magazine. His most iconic characters were first featured in its pages: Kull, Conan, Solomon Kane, and others. He died on June 11, 1936 at the age of thirty from a self-inflicted gunshot in Cross Plains, Texas.
ABOUT GESS:
Gess (Stéphane Girard) is a French cartoonist, illustrator and screenwriter, born in 1961 in Rouen. His meeting with the people of the “Café Noir” fanzine in Rouen convinced him to get into comics. He started to publish some short stories, then he created Teddy Bear. He launched a new series at Delcourt, Carmen McCallum, where he exploited his immoderate taste for science fiction and crime fiction. In 2002, he received the Grand Prix du festival Des Planches et des Vaches for his work. After publishing volume 8 of Carmen McCallum, he left the series to devote himself to a new creation, La Brigade Chimérique, for Atalante editions.
