January 10, 2022 – New York, NY – ComiXology Originals and Kodansha announce volumes 1-10 of MF Ghost, the follow up to Initial D—the all-time classic manga about Japanese street racing, written and illustrated by Shuichi Shigeno – will be available to read starting tomorrow, Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from comiXology Originals, the exclusive digital content line of comiXology, an Amazon company. This manga series will be available to read at no additional cost for members of Amazon Prime, Kindle Unlimited, and comiXology Unlimited, and for purchase on the Amazon Kindle Store and comiXology. This marks the first time the popular MF Ghost has been translated to and available in English.

The best-selling MF Ghost takes place in the 2020s, where self-driving electric cars have replaced internal combustion ones. However, in Japan, there is a large organization called MFG, founded by Ryosuke Takahashi (from the Initial D series), that conducts street races with internal combustion cars. There’s a new rookie on the scene, Kanata Livington who competes under the pseudonym Kanata Katagiri. Kanata has been trained by legendary racer Takumi Fujiwara (protagonist from the Initial D series) at the Royal Donington Racing School in the UK and is a Formula 4 world champion. He has only one motive: to find his long-lost father. But first he must take on a 19-year-old Japanese-British racer, who has shown up on the scene driving a Toyota 86 and is beating top-tier European cars.

This debut comes hot on the heels of an MF Ghost anime series announcement, with the television adaptation set to premiere in 2023.

ComiXology Originals titles are available at no additional cost for members of Amazon Prime, Kindle Unlimited, and comiXology Unlimited, and for purchase on the Amazon Kindle Store and comiXology. Prime Reading offers all Amazon Prime members a rotating selection of over a thousand top Kindle books, magazines, short works, comic books, children’s books, and more – all at no additional cost.
