Miami, FL – In a memorable event for urban music in Colombia, renowned singer Ryan Castro received an ostentatious white gold jewel, with more than 1,200 diamonds, made by the prestigious luxury brand Joyería Inter. This gift, which was presented by his family and team during his concert on October 18 at La Macarena in Medellín, reflects the tendency of reggaeton artists and rappers to wear opulent jewelry as a symbol of status and authenticity.
This jewel has the shape of the number 1994, the year in which the Colombian artist was born. The design stands out for its sophistication and luxury: it is made of 18 carat white gold and has two levels. The first one is set with white diamonds, while the second level, which features a beveled design, is adorned with black diamonds, making this pendant a true work of art.
Alfredo Restrepo, CEO of Inter Jewelry, explains that this jewel was an exclusive and personalized design for Ryan Castro. With an approximate weight of 70 grams of 18 carat white gold, this luxury piece measures 10.7 cm x 6.8 cm. In addition, on the back, it has a textured pattern laser engraved with the artist’s famous phrases.
“We wanted to create a piece that reflected his success, his personality and connection to his roots. Every detail of the design, from the 1994 number to the diamond setting, was designed to represent his career in music. We are honored to have been chosen to immortalize this important moment for Castro.” says Restrepo.
It is worth noting that the trend of reggaeton singers wearing luxury jewelry comes from the hip-hop culture in the United States, which since the 80s began to associate the ostentation of chains, watches and expensive rings with success and power. That is why the delivery of this exclusive piece to Ryan Castro highlights the importance of luxury jewelry in urban culture. Collaborations like the one between ‘Joyería Inter’ and prominent artists allow this industry in Colombia to position itself on the international map.
This concert, which featured surprise guests Karol G, J Balvin, and Carlos Vives, marked a milestone in the musical career of the paisa artist, who has seen his popularity grow in recent years. It also symbolizes his connection with Medellín, his home. After his sold-out show at the Movistar Arena in Bogota, and now his first Macarena in the capital of Antioquia, Castro promises to continue leading the urban scene in Colombia.
