The Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA, Chairman: Haruhiro Tsujimoto) will hold the virtual venue “Tokyo Game Show Digital World 2024” (TGSDW 2024) for 17 days, from Friday, September 20 to Sunday, October 6.

The virtual venue of Tokyo Game Show, which had been held under the name TOKYO GAME SHOW VR until last year, has been renamed “TOKYO GAME SHOW Digital World” this year, and this is the 4th time it will be held, as a digital world complementing the real venue at Makuhari Messe. You can enjoy TGS not just with your VR device, but also other devices.

The setting is “Game Islands,” a game country floating in the sky, and it appears that the residents are holding a festival. We have also released the key visual by Kukka, who is also in charge of the main visuals for TGS2024.

“Festival held on “Game Islands,” islands floating in the sky”

In the TGSDW2024, it appears that a festival by the residents is to be held on game country “Game Islands” floating in the sky, which was the setting for TGSVR last year. You can experience a special journey around the Game Show, where you enter the world of the game and become one with the world decorated with festival decorations and the changing scenery.

Admission is free! Opens on September 20th, prior to the opening of real venue (Makuhari Messe), and will run for 17 days, making it easier than ever to participate!

The virtual venue of TGS, visited by a total of about 310,000 people last year, delivers joy and surprises to game fans all over the world. This year is the 4th time it will be held, and we would like to create a festive space with you where game fans can gather and enjoy interacting with each other, even from remote locations, which can only be realized in the Metaverse. Admission is free. Please invite your friends and visit us using your PC, VR device, or smartphone during the event period.

In order for more people to enjoy the virtual venue of TGS, this year we will create a space where you can experience Tokyo Game Show earlier than anywhere else, prior to the opening of the real venue. In addition, in response to requests from those who want to enjoy the virtual venue even after the real venue is over, we will hold it until Sunday, October 6, one week longer than TGS2024.
