2020 is an a**hole and we all know why.
This year and the inseparable pandemic that goes with it has put a spoke in the wheel of
Sebastian Eggerbauer aka Telquist like of many others: album postponed, tour postponed. This
chapter, which started at the end of 2019 with the first single release and should end with an
album release this year, must take a little longer and slowly and surprisingly it turns out that
this might be a stroke of luck.
The Regensburg, Germany native has not only been able to
collect over 1 million streams in Spotify alone since then, he reached number 1 in the German
university radio charts with “Trash Talk”, released a single with “Taste” on the world-famous
French indie label Kitsuné and thus stayed in the mainstream radio charts for over 5 weeks.
So what’s the point? The indie hit “Mojo”, which was actually intended as lead single for the
postponed album, with its dazzling sample hook on a groovy guitar, will be released now. In it
Telquist sings laid-back of self-expression, self-doubt, dissociation and coolness. In the video
he and his band play with the clichés of classic identification offers.
Filmed in glossy
advertising style, they pose in gangster squad manner in front of a cart, the Fiat Multipla, which
has been voted the ugliest car in the world several times
“Mojo” will be released on 06 Novmeber at Blickpunkt Pop.
