Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredders Revenge Xbox Series S Review

The turtles are back with even more pizza, more turtle style and of course some rad music in TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge! I have been hearing about this game for months now as people been waiting for a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle game for years now. I was one of those people who was awaiting a game that would be fun to play not only with myself but online as well.

I was able to get this game through Xbox Games Pass Ultimate and quickly downloaded onto my Xbox Series S console. The game downloaded really fast as it was only 1gig of space. I haven’t played a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle game in years so I’m very excited.

Here is our review

Pro:

  • Updated Retro Feel
    • The game had an arcade feel from the start with the old school graphics and retro feel in the game. I felt like I was back at Tilt Arcade and using quarters to help the turtles destroy the foot clan. I enjoyed the retro art in the game which had me feeling like I was 8 years old all over again.
  • Breaking Everything
    • While playing the game, I didn’t realize that you use the objects around you to your advantage. There are even some hidden items that you need for the game such as pizza health, diaries and extra characters to find. Also, I just enjoyed just throwing foot clan soldier into those items as an additional attack on them.
  • Cross Play
    • The big thing that caught my attention was the cross play action between gamers on Xbox, Steam and Playstation. I was able to have someone from PlayStation play with me while we conquered the game. I had a lot of fun time while talking to the person on PlayStation version and thought it was wild.
