Ice Nine Kills is bringing technicolor thrash and cinemascope chaos to the Alamo City… Are you ready for two nights of theatrics, music and horror in the Heavy Metal Capital of the World?
On Wednesday, Ice Nine Kills announced their new U.S. Headline Tour, The Silver Scream-A-Thon. This unprecedented tour promises TWO nights in every city, playing their seminal albums The Silver Scream and The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood in full, along with fan favorites and a selection of deep cuts.
The Silver Scream-A-Thon will make its way to San Antonio on May 29 and 30 at the historic Aztec Theatre.
- Night One: A full-album performance of The Silver Scream alongside select deep cuts and brand-new material.
- Night Two: A complete performance of The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood, along with deep cuts and brand-new material.
Ice Nine Kills (INK) has become one of my favorite bands over the last few years. As soon as the Psychos Only presale became available, I immediately bought my two-night ticket.
Frontman Spencer Charnas’s ability to tell a story/ film narrative through lyrics and musical accompaniment is something most bands can only dream of. For INK to do this once with The Silver Scream was an impeccable feat of musicianship and horror cinema intelligence, and Charnas was able to do it again with INK’s sequel album The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood. The Silver Scream-A-Thon is something no Psycho (INK’s fan moniker) should miss, especially in a venue like the Aztec Theatre.
For many performances, the venue plays an integral part in the experience. The Aztec is made for intimate performances like this, full of spectacle and theatrics. Combine the music from The Silver Scream 1 & 2 with the atmosphere and spirit of the Aztec Theatre, and what will culminate will be magical, unforgettable, and haunting.
Psychos, don’t miss your chance to experience this once-in-a-lifetime grindhouse double feature. VIP packages and general on-sale will start on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 10 a.m. local time. Head to IceNineKills.com for more info.
