We traveled this weekend to Houston, TX for the second annual Fandemic Tour Houston at NRG Center. We were very excited to see the sights and sounds that Fandemic would be providing for the fans this weekend. Here is our review of a combined both days Saturday and Sunday. Bell County Comic Con comes back to Bell County and is bringing a star studded adventure to the city. They are bringing guests such as Karyn Parsons and Daphne Reid who are from Fresh Prince of Bel Air tv show. Other guests include Bam Margera, Walter Jones, Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake and much more!
The city of Corpus Christi is known for their close oceanic frontage, good food, and of course a nice vacation destination. This weekend, the city had their alter ego showcased and transformed their culture into a comic con voyage. In this article, we show the fun they had for day 1 of the convention.
The walk from the parking lot to NRG Park was getting us excited for the convention. We were discussing our itinerary as we ventured through the masses of cosplayers following us to the entrance of the park. We discussed which celebrity to meet, which vendor to see and which cosplayers we should focus on. Once we got our passes and inside the convention, those plans were thrown out and we were part of an experience that we had no words for.
Cosplay has been a creative approach for an image of representation to a character a person will portray. The creation for a certain cosplay can take time, effort, money and even more time. When the cosplay is finished and ready to be showcased, the world should know the time and effort needed to build the cosplay .
Every comic fan should know there is a jungle out there when they think about comic cons. There are so many that it seems like a bunch of vines and trees are in the way of your line of sight. When you journey through the jungle, you will pass by the poorly run trees and the low point of vines and come across a clearing. The clearing is where you will see the comic con that shines of gold.
As a fan of art and cos play, there comes a time when I wonder when this would be more centered on during comic cons. Look and have no fear as Austin, TX welcomes Hero Con.
The crowd cheered and jeered as one by one celebrities came out to the floor and waved to the audiences. They sat down at their tables and the lines start to move as fans just stare at awe at their heroes. Comicpalooza brought their A game to the world of comic cons.
