Tabitha Brownstone Shares Her Experience in the Horror Film Gator Face
For this feature role, how did you prepare yourself as the lead actress?
A lot of running! I wanted to be ready for all of the sprinting I knew we were going to be doing throughout the film. I did all of my homework as Claire, building the relationships with the other actors, really building the world. When we went to shoot, I just let all the homework fall by the wayside and took off for my life. It was a blast.
Are you a fan of horror movies?
Yes! I absolutely love them. It’s such an exciting world to build and working on a horror film was an incredible experience. I absolutely loved the cast and crew’s enthusiasm for the genre. My favorite subgenre probably has to be the classic grindhouse slasher vibe we have going in Gator Face, so it was really exciting to be a part of my own!
Was there any fear with the Gators being around you?
Fortunately for myself and the other actors on set, we were not shooting with the actual gators in our own scenes. They were shot after the fact and composited into the film. Although it would have been the wildest animal I had ever worked with, I ended up being happy with how this was shot without having to stand face to face with any gators! Hah!
What do you want fans to know when they experience Gator Face?
We made this movie for you! Enjoy it!
