SXSW 2024 Brings The Sights, Sounds, and Post Malone in the first few days of the festival! Yes you heard me, Post Malone was signing for fans at the premiere of Road House on Friday, March 11. Our team at Drop The Spotlight are media for SXSW 2024 (4 years in a row) and attended all the hot spots (that we can remember after all those free drinks) to showcase on our review. This is Day 1 / Part 1 of what we saw at SXSW 2024…so far! :)!

First things first, we were late to Austin. It happens you know! Anyways, after we got our badges situated, we walked to Paramount Theater to check in for the red carpet. Sadly, we were late and weren’t able to check in but lo and behold! Out comes Post Malone, late as well just like us, and ran to the barrier where the crowd was at. Post then started to sign autographs and take selfies with nearly everyone that was there.

We then went out to eat with actor and director Joe Lozano for a bit. We talked a bit about life, ate like Kings, and enjoyed our time together.

3 Body Problem

Once we were done, Myself and Bernard headed to the Audible After party on foot. While walking, we found ourselves at the 3 Body Problem teaser unveiling with the cast and crew. We were stopped on the sidewalk of Congress and watched as the cast and crew came out of vans to the area. They had a stage built inside the area with a clock chiming down to zero in the distance.

The teaser was pretty cool and I was stoked to see the cast and crew of the new show. I’m a huge Game of Thrones fan, so seeing Sam Tarly in the flesh had me floored. Many people in the audience were gasping on how cool the teaser was shown in the sky. I am convinced this will be my new favorite show on Netflix.

Unfortunately, I was declined a selfie by Game of Thrones TV show creators. It was all good though, life goes on.

Audible After Party

We made it to Audible! Yay! I’m going to be real though, while on our walk, we were seeing a HUGE Ferris Wheel from the distance. I didn’t expect for it to be that huge once we got the entrance. After we got checked in, we were able to have some fun at the After Party. We saw the Knocks perform as well as House of Yes showcasing their dancing skills. I was very impressed with the crew at Audible for making this party very banging. I was even able to get mini corn dogs, cotton candy, and ice cream here at the event. This felt so much like a carnival of fun at SXSW 2024.

After a long night of partying, we left Austin back home to be ready for Day 2!
