March 26th, 2021 – Sony Pictures Classics’ much-anticipated PVOD Release of Florian Zeller’s Academy Award® nominated THE FATHER is now available on Eventive, the leading platform in virtual cinema.
The PVOD release comes on the heels of the film’s theatrical release on February 26, 2021, and now 6 Academy Award® nominations including Best Picture, Best Actor in a Leading Role for Anthony Hopkins, Best Supporting Actress for Olivia Colman, Best Adapted Screenplay for Christopher Hampton and Florian Zeller, Best Film Editing for Yorgos Lamprinos and Best Production Design for Peter Francis and Cathy Featherstone.
Written by Zeller and Christopher Hampton, THE FATHER stars Academy Award® winners Anthony Hopkins and Olivia Colman, a father-daughter duo—one mischievous, the other caring—who battle the universal prophecy of loss that comes with age. The family drama also stars Mark Gatiss, Imogen Poots, Rufus Sewell and Olivia Williams.
