[Seoul,Republic of Korea, 23th March.( SHIFTRICK Inc (CEO Kyoung Yeon Choi www.shiftrick.com),Indie game studio, reveals that it is going to release its very first game RE:OZMA(www.reozma.com)’sa demo version for the first time at PAX EAST2019, a game show taking place in Boston MA starting on March 28th.
‘RE:OZMA’ is the first game developed by game studio SHIFTRICK. It is a 2D Action-Adventure sandbox PC platform game inspired by the first SETI (Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence) the project launched by US National Radio Astronomy Observatory in 1968.
RE:OZMA features exploration, community, digging, infinite creativity, crafting, building, combat with a variety of creatures in a procedurally generated 2D world. Based on wide cosmos, players become an ‘Alien Creature’ and own a planet, to encounter countless stars randomly, develop its planet, ultimately create its own world, and to find a meaning of its existence.
RE: OZMA’s planets are formed with a random fields, created from random algorithm, and instant fields that are connected to the field. The game is developed with the Unity engine. Also, the company developednew technologies to double the fun such as Randomly Producing Terrain, Interaction between Character and Terrain, Complex Tiling System, Consecutive Map Formulating Frame Work, and Full collider.
It provides single and IP play. Moreover, it has a strong community engagement. In order to maximize the ‘joy from playing with others’, it provides multiplayer mode and provides worldwide chat. This allows players to randomly meet among RE:OZMA planets. They can trade,and players can enter and play together in another player’s planet when that player is logged in.

We wanted to create a game like a playground, not just a fun slide. We wanted to create a playground where users who came to the playground with different purposes could have fun.That is why we created a sandbox game.RE:OZMA will be a game with a great balance of fun attractions, sand, and community.”
On the other hand, SHIFTRICK will focus on launching the game by reflecting feedbacks from the build video and the demo play of ‘RE: OZMA’ at PAX EAST 2019- to launch the game within this year on STEAM.

Starting members of SHIFTRICK have an average of 11 years of experience going back to the early 2000s: from working for a large publishing game company to a game developing company. We have been launching and providing service for 15 PC game titles in various countries.
We have different experiences from game development, QA to service, Maketing. We felt the possibility and potential of the global game market. Our final goal is to share the universal language of “fun” with players and communicate it through fresh game contents and great service quality from our years of experience and Know-how from our time in the game industry.
There is no “end” in the contents & entertainment industry where we provide joy to people. People who create content must continuously think 24/7 and 365 days- until we dream about it. We have to give everything from ‘our life’ to focus on it. Moreover, we have to ‘enjoy’ our work first in order to give joy to others. Finding the work we want to do and be able to focus on it.
