Second Coming: Only Begotten Son Issue 2 Review

The philosophy that Jesus uses in this second issue is just astounding. When you think about it, It just makes sense! As I was reading this issue, Jesus talks mainly about getting back into the public square. He wants to talk to a large audience and let them know He is here. He was able to find an event called Bible Safari that He felt would be easy to spread His message. Jerry accompanies him as He makes it the venue and sees all the wonder around Him. As He is at the event, the executives at Christ Way are counting their dollars as many of their new marketing ploys are working. They are feeding off the fears of people and using Jesus’ name to make money. While that is happening, a man is lost in the world around him. His wife left him due to a miscarriage and tried Christ Way for help but it would cost him money.

Issue number 5 of Second Coming focused a lot of the marketing of how we want to see and know of Jesus. Businesses deployed stories, plays, products and much more to profit off His name. All 3 stories that is going on right now met up in the middle to the point that took Jesus to talk to that young man before he jumped off a bridge. Jesus thought back on how His name is being used and how the world thinks of who really is Jesus. I was fascinated with that ending of this issue and can’t wait to see what’s next in Second Coming.
