I was able to sit down and watch Scream VI on Paramount Plus streaming service. I’m a fan of the previous Scream movies so I was excited to set sail on this franchise movie. The story was ehhh as Tara and her sister are in college now in New York and trying to live a normal life. The normalcy ends when others try to replicate those events from Woodsboro that continues to haunt them.
The gore in the movie is fantastic! I enjoyed seeing the blood splattered at various places as well as body parts in various places. The twisted ending that we are accustomed to the Scream franchise was decent. I enjoyed that ending the movie. I felt though with that twisted ending, it hurt the story of the movie. This one felt more of a forum discussion than an actual movie in its present form.
Pro:
- Gore
- A lot of gore was featured heavily on this version of the Scream franchise. Lots of blood and stabbings which was a pretty good look on the characters as well.
- Twisted Ending
- Every Scream has their own twisted ending and even they acknowledge it in the movie. It was a good twist I have to admit yet the story suffered in this one.
Con:
- Story
- I was hoping the story would have been better in this version. As a fan of previous movies, I know how they would do a twisted ending. Either way, story was a bit weak on this one.
