SEATTLE – October 14, 2024 – Streets of Rogue 2, the open-world sandbox adventure from developer Matt Dabrowski in partnership with publisher tinyBuild, debuts the “Island Alpha” demo today.
The sequel to the award-winning Streets of Rogue, which sold more than 1 million copies and garnered a staggering 96% “Overwhelmingly Positive” review score on Steam, has been delayed to allow more development time into its expansive open world. A new Steam Early Access launch date will be announced soon.
Jump into the world of terrain-destroying chaos in Streets Rogue 2’s first-ever playable demo. Unleash madness on a desolate island, where players can take on or join forces with a crooked Mayor. Not interested in government squabbles? Fine, then completely ignore it and rummage around, causing total carnage with no restrictions whatsoever!
Experience a taste of immersive, boundless freedom with each randomly generated session. Every playthrough inspires new ways to get creative with wildly different character classes, each with distinct talents. Matt will continue to update the demo, adding local co-op and controller support post-release.
Developer Matt Dabrowski and tinyBuild are doubling down on their commitment to providing the ultimate open-world experience for Streets of Rogue’s sequel. The extra development time will allow the team to polish the game’s loop, progression system, and of course, those annoying pesky bugs.
