Red Border Graphic Novel Review

Growing up in the Rio Grande Valley, you would hear stories of what was going on in Mexico. In the early days, the border towns were a bit safe as shoppers of across the border made frequent trips there. Then in a snap of the fingers, the war happened down there. The Cartel wars were going on and the Mexican military were sent down there to stop things which escalated some more. Those were the memories I had while living down south and has died down a bit today.

Red Border Graphic Novel showcases the tension, struggle and lives disrupted throughout the region in the graphic novel. You see in the first issue about the people talking about the current struggle and the disruption they had in their lives because of the situation going on. The ending for them didn’t surprise me as its common knowledge of what goes on down there, but you had to put your head down and take a breath.

A good read for anyone and should check it out!
